The Magic Bacalar Marine organizes fascinating tours in the Bacalar lagoon with different types of catamarans, sailboats, kayaks, cayucos and paddle boards.
The Bacalar lagoon is a Caribbean rarity with beautiful and fascinating aspects. It is fed by underground rivers and waters that sprout from various cenotes which exist throughout the Bacalar lagoon, close to it and always connected among them. All these cenotes are called “Mayan cenotes”.
In our tours with sail and rowing boats in the Bacalar lagoon we have routes to visit: Cenote negro (Black cenote), better known as Cenote de la bruja (Witch cenote), or Cenote de la Normal de Bacalar (Cenote from the Normal of Bacalar) that is the smallest but the deepest of all the lagoon cenotes, it is not known for sure, but it is said it has 180m of depth approximately.
In these tours through the Bacalar lagoon you will see and swim in the Cenote cocalitos (cocalitos cenote) as well as the Cenote laguna (lagoon cenote). Also, we will show you one of the most famous cenotes: Cenote Azul (Blue cenote), even though this cenote is outside of the lagoon it is connected through the underground where there is stromatolites too and is divided by more than 100mts of spit of land.
The Bacalar lagoon counts with more cenotes than the ones mentioned and we can also drive you there or just give you the information of their locations. We always bring professional snorkeling equipment and freediving to admire and take pictures at your whim.
The Bacalar lagoon is also known as the seven colors lagoon, this is for its particularity of having different shapes between blue and green, with blanquizal zones, firm and crystalline where you can swim at ease, like is the case where is located the Magic Bacalar Marine.
